Sleep trackers: understand the data before you buy
A tracker can be useful for trends, but it does not measure sleep like polysomnography. Sleeple separates the signal actually captured, the algorithmic estimate and the interpretation shown by the app.
Our editorial rule: no sleep score, REM value or deep-sleep percentage will be presented as clinical truth simply because an app displays it. Commercial comparisons will look for published validation of the exact model whenever available.
