Snoring & night breathing: understand the mechanism before buying

Snoring may be mainly acoustic, nasal, positional or one sign of sleep-disordered breathing. Sleeple therefore starts with the mechanism before recommending a product category.

Our editorial rule: snoring ≠ sleep apnea. Quieter snoring does not prove normal breathing. No pillow, strip, dilator or gadget will be presented as a substitute for medical assessment when warning signs are present.

3. Future commercial layer

Once affiliate programmes are available, we can compare nasal strips, internal dilators, wedge pillows, positional pillows and selected anti-supine devices. Comparisons will separate comfort, mechanism, evidence, contraindications, returns and real price.

4. What we will not commercialize casually

Mandibular devices, medical devices and sleep-apnea treatment will be handled separately with a much higher evidence threshold. We will not publish “best CPAP alternative” content that could encourage self-treatment of a breathing disorder.
